Welcome to Rentler (“the Website”). These terms and conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Website and the services provided by Rentler Pty Ltd (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Website, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms.

2. Definitions

• Owner: The individual or entity offering an item or property for rent.
• Renter: The individual or entity renting an item or property from a Owner.
• Item / Property: Any item or property listed for rent on the Website.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Website. By using the Website, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

4. User Accounts

To access certain features of the Website, you may need to create an account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and to keep this information up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

5. Listings

Rentors may create listings for items or properties available for rent. By creating a listing, you represent and warrant that you have the legal right to rent the item or property and that the listing is accurate and not misleading.

6. Bookings and Payments

Rentees may hire items through the Website. All payments are processed through our third-party payment processor. By making a booking, you agree to pay all applicable fees and charges. If your application is declined by the owner for any reason we can not refund the processing fees from the third party payment processing company.

7. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellation and refund policies vary by listing and are determined by the Rentor. Please review the specific terms of each listing before making a booking.

8. User Conduct

You agree not to use the Website for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could harm the Website or its users. Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to, posting false or misleading information, infringing on the rights of others, and engaging in fraudulent activities.

9. Identity Verification

It is the responsibility of the Owner to verify the identity of the Renter before renting an item to the Renter. While we may provide identification tools to assist in this process, the final assessment and verification of identity are solely the responsibility of the Owner. We do not guarantee the accuracy or reliability of any identification tools provided on the Website.

10. Failure to Return Items

If the Renter fails to return any item as specified by the date and time required, it will be at Rentler Pty Ltd’s discretion to take appropriate action. This could result in the suspension or ultimately the termination of the Renters account.

11. Insurance Responsibility

The Rentor acknowledges and agrees that it is their sole responsibility to obtain and maintain appropriate insurance coverage for the rented item. This insurance should cover any potential damage, loss, or non-return of the item during the rental period.

12. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms or the use of the Website will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with Australian Law.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, and will not be liable for any damages arising from your use of the Website.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on the Website. Your continued use of the Website constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
